Mosaic Rainforest Art
Activity Description:
In this activity, we learned about rainforest animals and what Mosaic art is. We got to choose our rainforest animal out of the options they had. I choose to do a flamingo and we had to include at least three different colors of cut-out paper in our project and fill the whole page. Once I choose what colors I wanted to include in my piece, then I used glue and a toothpick to spread the glue where I needed it. I then would place the pieces down onto the glue.
Extension Activity:
This was a fun art project to do. If I would do this in my classroom I would make sure to tell my students to make sure to have different colors in the background compared to the subject of the piece. I wish I would have done this in my project as it was hard to see my flamingo once I was done. To fix this problem, I went around the subject of my art piece with a black sharpie to help it not blend into the background.
