My Footprint Introduction
Description: For this project, we thought of symbols that described us and created them in a way to put them onto our "footprint". By creating this we got the opportunity to introduce ourselves to the class. To make the footprints, we first outlined our shoes so our feet were big enough to add materials to. Then I drew some toes onto my footprint to really make it look like a foot. We were challenged to use no less than three mediums, so I used markers, colored pencils, watercolor paint, crayons, and materials I found. Adding the medium challenge to the project helped us learn all the different materials we can use to create art. Extension Activity: Another way to do this activity would be to create an "All About Me" bag. I would give the students a bag and they could design the outside of it how they would like.
